Hélène Mastrandréas est photographe et réalisatrice diplômée de l’École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris.

Son travail s’apparente à une exploration sensible du lien que chacun entretient avec le monde. Elle révèle les émotions enfouies, les secrets tus, avec une douceur presque tactile. Dans cet univers poétique et sensoriel, l’image devient récit : un espace où le personnel prend une dimension universelle. &#38;nbsp;

À travers ses images, elle donne une voix à l’intime, capte des fragments d’humanité où les corps se libèrent, où les apparences se dissipent, par-delà les normes et les injonctions.

	Elle cherche à&#38;nbsp; révéler ce qui échappe au regard pressé : la vulnérabilité, les désirs, la complicité, l’élan vital. Ses photographies, délicates et légèrement décalées, forment un corpus d’images suspendues, une hétérotopie visuelle, un lieu hors de l’espace et du temps.
Hélène Mastrandréas élabore un langage visuel singulier, bercé par les lumières naturelles imprégnées de flou, de trouble, de tension entre douceur et puissance. La photographie et la vidéo sont, pour elle, des terrains d’expérimentation plastique où la perception du corps est interrogée.
	En 2025, elle est invitée par le Musée de la Ville de Saint-Denis pour sa première exposition personnelle dans une institution muséale. La même année, elle reçoit une bourse à l’écriture de la Région Sud pour son documentaire Confrontation, et bénéficie du soutien de la Ville de Paris pour son projet Ce corps qui échappe. En 2024, elle est sélectionnée pour une résidence orchestrée par France Télévisions pour son projet Confrontation. En 2022, elle est lauréate des bourses du CNC et de Brouillon d’un rêve de La Scam pour son documentaire @devifetishvelvet.Son travail photographique est régulièrement publié dans des magazines comme Purple, MÉTAL, Office Magazine NYC, Les Inrocks, Fisheye ou À PART.

Ce corps qui échappe.

Il y a plusieurs années, j’ai perdu une partie de mon autonomie . Pourtant personne ne peut le voir. Cette sensation d’invalidité non perceptible a fait émerger une douleur supplémentaire : le handicap invisible.

Un handicap invisible apparaît comme une diminution indécelable aux yeux des autres et la perception d’une certaine douleur qui s’installe en nous. Même si les handicaps sont variés, les sensations demeurent similaires. Il peut s’agir de douleurs, de fatigue intense, de sentiment de décalage, de discrimination ou la sensation de ne pas être compris.

Et, je m’interroge, comment retranscrire en images et en mots la sensation du handicap invisible ?

Je rencontre sept personnes qui portent différents handicaps qu’on ne voit pas, ils me dévoilent leurs ressentis intimes. Des nuances sur les corps traduisent l’émotion qu’ils éprouvent, les douleurs physiques ou psychiques et surtout une vulnérabilité accrue. Le texte leur pose toujours la même question : Qu’est-ce qui te donne la sensation de ne pas être valide ?

J’ai réuni 17 femmes, dont moi, pour créer un journal intime de nos ventres. Avec ma fabuleuse équipe, j’ai conçu un herbier qui rassemble la pluralité de nos vécus en numérique, en argentique, au téléphone et à l’infrarouge. 


On représente le corps de la femme, on tente de rendre cette représentation plus inclusive. On le sexualise, on l’érotise, on tente de rendre cette sexualisation empouvoirante. On morcelle le corps, on montre les fesses, les seins, mais peu le ventre. Pourtant, le ventre est une partie du corps absolument féminine puisqu’elle accueille bien des spectacles.


Le ventre de la femme est le témoin de la maternité, de la contraception, de la médicamentation, de la puberté avec ses poils, de la transition avec ses poils qu’on retire, de l’avortement, du viol, de la digestion, de la constipation et ses maladies, des troubles du comportement alimentaire, des injonctions au corps beau, musclé, jeune et parfait. 


Le ventre est également le témoin du temps qui passe avec sa peau qui pend, ses vergetures, ses cicatrices comme l’appendicite, la césarienne ou les accidents. 


Mais le ventre c’est aussi l’intime, la sensualité et le désir avec ses crops tops et ses piercings ou sa sueur qui perle.

						Hélène Mastrandréas est photographe et réalisatrice. Elle oriente son travail vers une enquête continuelle : comment habitons-nous notre corps? Ainsi, elle porte son regard féminin sur les minorités, le handicap et les modes de vie alternatifs. Son esthétique, qui retranscrit l’intime, a été bercée par les nuances des paysages méditerranéens de son enfance. Pour le festival des Fiertés 2024, elle présente la série Cartographie du désir avec Zoé Besmonde de Senneville&#38;nbsp;qui questionne le désir d’une personne en situation de handicap.

Ce corps qui échappe.

Il y a plusieurs années, j’ai perdu une partie de mon autonomie. Pourtant personne ne peut le voir. Cette sensation d’invalidité non perceptible a fait émerger une douleur supplémentaire : le handicap invisible.

Un handicap invisible apparaît comme une diminution indécelable aux yeux des autres et la perception d’une certaine douleur qui s’installe en nous. Même si les handicaps sont variés, les sensations demeurent similaires. Il peut s’agir de douleurs, de fatigue intense, de sentiment de décalage, de discrimination ou la sensation de ne pas être compris.

Et, je m’interroge, comment retranscrire en images et en mots la sensation du handicap invisible ?

Je rencontre sept personnes qui portent différents handicaps qu’on ne voit pas, ils me dévoilent leurs ressentis intimes. Des nuances sur les corps traduisent l’émotion qu’ils éprouvent, les douleurs physiques ou psychiques et surtout une vulnérabilité accrue. Le texte leur pose toujours la même question : Qu’est-ce qui te donne la sensation de ne pas être valide ?

J’ai réuni 17 femmes, dont moi, pour créer un journal intime de nos ventres. Avec ma fabuleuse équipe, j’ai conçu un herbier qui rassemble la pluralité de nos vécus en numérique, en argentique, au téléphone et à l’infrarouge. 


On représente le corps de la femme, on tente de rendre cette représentation plus inclusive. On le sexualise, on l’érotise, on tente de rendre cette sexualisation empouvoirante. On morcelle le corps, on montre les fesses, les seins, mais peu le ventre. Pourtant, le ventre est une partie du corps absolument féminine puisqu’elle accueille bien des spectacles.


Le ventre de la femme est le témoin de la maternité, de la contraception, de la médicamentation, de la puberté avec ses poils, de la transition avec ses poils qu’on retire, de l’avortement, du viol, de la digestion, de la constipation et ses maladies, des troubles du comportement alimentaire, des injonctions au corps beau, musclé, jeune et parfait. 


Le ventre est également le témoin du temps qui passe avec sa peau qui pend, ses vergetures, ses cicatrices comme l’appendicite, la césarienne ou les accidents. 


Mais le ventre c’est aussi l’intime, la sensualité et le désir avec ses crops tops et ses piercings ou sa sueur qui perle.

						Hélène Mastrandréas est photographe et réalisatrice. Elle oriente son travail vers une enquête continuelle : comment habitons-nous notre corps? Ainsi, elle porte son regard féminin sur les minorités, le handicap et les modes de vie alternatifs. Son esthétique, qui retranscrit l’intime, a été bercée par les nuances des paysages méditerranéens de son enfance. Pour le festival des Fiertés 2024, elle présente la série Cartographie du désir avec Zoé Besmonde de Senneville&#38;nbsp;qui questionne le désir d’une personne en situation de handicap.
